The Croatian Tamburica will be one of the many unusual instruments brought to life at the club’s dinner meeting on Thursday, Jan. 18, at 6 p.m.
Jason Ottman, who plays some 50 musical instruments, will demonstrate a selection of his favorites and explain their cultural origins.
Ottmann teaches choreography and international dance and is part of Do Zore, an International Tambura Band. He has appeared with area folk dance groups and performed throughout the Balkans, Canada, and the United States.
The dinner will feature ethnic foods from Bunzels Catering. Cost is $15 and everyone is welcome. To reserve a seat, please email firstname.lastname@example.org before Sunday, Jan. 14.
